Ingredients:

• 1 -small Pumpkin
• 1/2 tbsp -chana dal
• 1/2 tbsp- moong dal
• 1/2 tbsp- cumin seeds(jeera)
• 1 tbsp -mustard

Method:

  1. Peel the pumpkin and cut into small pieces.
  2. Boil the pieces for 5 min.
  3. Cut the chillies into fine pieces.
  4. Heat the pan and put the oil.
  5. In the heated oil, put chana dal, moong dal, cumin seeds, mustard and green chillies.
  6. Fry for 1 min.
  7. Add curry leaves and fry for 1 min.
  8. Put asafoetida powder and fry for 1 min.
  9. Now add pumpkin pieces and fry for 10 min(or pieces become tender).
  10. Add salt and jaggery and fry for 5 min.
  11. Serve it hot with rice or roti.
