Ingredients:

• Palak leaves – 2 bunches
• Green chillies – 2
• Ginger – 1 inch piece
• Tomato – 1 medium
• Onion – 1 large
• Garlic – 1/2 (chopped)
• Kasoori Methi – 2 tbsp
• Paneer – 250 g
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Salt to taste
• Fresh Cream – 2 tsp (optional)

Method:

  1. Wash palak in water and chop.
  2. Add ginger and green chillies and cook on low flame till all the moisture evaporates. Cool and grind it into a fine paste and keep aside.
  3. Grind tomato and onion together.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic and onion-tomato paste, fry till the raw smell is gone.
  5. Add the palak and stir. Add kasoori methi and salt to taste. Cook for a while.
  6. Cut paneer into diamond-shaped pieces and fry in oil.
  7. Add paneer to the gravy before serving.
