Ingredients:
• Wheat flour – 1 cup
• besan (chickpeas flour) – 1 cup
• chili powder – 1/2 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
• Leeks – 1 cup, sliced
• fresh dill – 2 tbsp, chopped
• oil to shallow fry the rotis
• salt to taste
• water to mix
Method:
- Mix together all the ingredients from wheat flour to turmeric powder.
- Heat 3 tbsp of oil and saute the leeks till soft.
- Add dill, mix well, remove from fire and add to the dry mixture.
- Add enough water and knead well to make soft, smooth dough.
- Keep covered for 1/2 hour.
- Divide the dough into 8 balls.
- Roll out each ball thinly.
- Heat a griddle and cook the rotis on mode heat with oil, till golden brown and slightly crisp.
- Serve hot with a sweet and hot pickle and curd.
