Ingredients:

• 1/4 kg- basmati Rice
• 1/2 – Coconut
• 4 – dry Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp – Bengal Gram dal
• 1 tbsp – black gram dal
• 1 tbsp – mustard
• 3-4 – Green chillies
• 2 Sprigs – Curry leaves
• Coriander leaves
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying
• 1/2 tbsp – Turmeric

Method:

  1. Boil the rice.
  2. Grate the coconut and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan
  4. Add the dry red chillies, mustard, black gram dal, Bengal gram dal, curry leaves and turmeric.
  5. When the mustard crackles, add the coconut and fry it until it turns brown
  6. After the coconut turns light brown, add the boiled rice and fry it for two to 3 minutes.
  7. Lastly, add the coriander leaves with the rice and serve hot
