Ingredients:
• 4 joints Chicken
• 1 medium sized Onion (chopped)
• 1/2 ltr – Milk
• 1 tbsp – Corn flour
• 8 tbsp – grated cheese
• Butter for frying
• a pinch of mustard powder
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Cream
• 2 tbsp – Vinegar
• 3 tbsp – Ghee
• salt and pepper to taste
Method:
- Rub the chicken joints with salt and pepper, and then fry in butter till golden brown. Remove and put the chicken into a baking dish.
- Heat the ghee and saute the onion.
- Add the milk and simmer gently. Strain.
- Blend the corn flour with a little cold water and a little of the milk sauce and mix well.
- Add this corn flour mixture to the remaining milk sauce. Bring to the boil.
- Add vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, mustard powder and cream.
- Pour this sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Bake in a moderate oven (177 degrees C) until chicken is tender.
