
Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups – Maida
• 1/2 cup – cocoa
• 1/2 tsp – baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – baking soda
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 1.5 cups – castor Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Butter
• 2 – eggs, separated
• 1 tsp – vanilla essence
• 1 cup – buttermilk
Method:
- Sieve maida, cocoa, baking powder and soda, salt and keep aside.
- Mix egg yolks, butter and sugar.
- Add little buttermilk and fold it in.
- Add little of the maida mix and mix it in.
- Continue this alternating buttermilk and maida mix till both are used up.
- Add well-beaten egg whites and mix.
- Bake at 250 degrees C for about 40 minutes.
