Ingredients:

• 2 cups – leftover saboodana khichidi
• 1/2 cup – water
• Salt to taste
• 2 pinch – soda bicarbonate.

Method:

  1. Boil water in a deep vessel. Add khichidi, salt, soda, stir and cook.
  2. When the mixture thickens take off fire.
  3. Spread in direct sunlight, a thick sheet of plastic and on it lay a cotton sheet. Take ladlefuls of mixture, spread into small thick circles.
  4. Dry in sun till brittle, flipping side when half dried.
  5. Store in airtight container.
  6. Deep fry in hot oil, when required.
  7. Serve.
